RTC bus (Ramabanam service) carrying passengers from Sarapaka to Bhadrachalam fell off the bridge across the Godavari on Thursday afternoon.
There seems 30-40 passengers in the bus were grievously injured.Three person died in accident.
When bus reached Sarapaka bridge,popularly known as danger zone,driver lost control of the vehicle due to high speed. Bus flipped off from the bridge into Godhavari.
Some of the passengers had severe injuries as they landed on the dried up bed of the river. The local fishermen rushed to the spot on noticing the accident
The injured passengers were moved to the Government Area Hospital. Bhadrachalam police launched a massive rescue operation at the accident site
